Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is a term that describes how dentists replace missing or damaged teeth. The goal of restorative dentistry is to restore your natural smile and prevent future oral health issues.

Dental Fillings – If one or several of your teeth have what is commonly called a “cavity,” you’ll likely receive a dental filling. The “filling” part of a dental filling refers to the material used to repair your decayed tooth. The steps to repairing a decayed tooth are as follows.

1. The area around your affected tooth is numbed, so you don’t feel pain.
2. The decay or bad parts of your tooth are removed.
3. Your tooth is thoroughly cleaned.
4. The damaged areas of your tooth are filled with either a composite or amalgam filling.
Dental Crowns – A crown is a tooth-shaped cover placed over a tooth that is damaged or badly decayed. Crowns are used when a tooth is so damaged or severely broken that a filling won’t be strong enough to protect the tooth from fracturing or breaking. Crowns are also used to change the position of misaligned teeth.

Missing Teeth – If you’re missing a tooth or several teeth everyday life can be embarrassing, and eating foods you love can be a challenge. Depending on your situation you’ll likely have a variety of options to choose from such as:

Single Tooth Implant – If you’re missing one or more teeth a single tooth implant can be used. An implant tooth will be surgically placed in your jawbone. Over time the implant integrates with your jawbone giving the appearance, and stability of a natural tooth.

Implant Bridge – An implant-supported bridge is typically used when you have more than one tooth missing. In the case of an implant bridge, only the two end teeth will be implanted into your jawbone.

Dental Bridges – A traditional dental bridge consists of one or more teeth and is held in place by abutments. Abutments are cemented onto healthy remaining teeth next to your missing teeth.

Full Mouth Implant Bridges – An implant bridge is an alternative to dentures. Dental implants support the bridge. Unlike traditional dentures that rest on top of your gums, a prettau implant is much more secure and add stimulation to your gums and jawbone to keep them strong and healthy.

Dentures – Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into your mouth. Today’s technology has made dentures more natural and looking and comfortable than ever.

Cosmetic Dentistry

There’s no reason to believe that improving your appearance is superficial or unnecessary. Whether it’s right or wrong, people are influenced by the way other’s look. When you look good, you feel better, and you open the doors for more social and career opportunities. You deserve the best smile you can have. Our cosmetic dentistry services can help you achieve your perfect smile in a number of ways.

Teeth Whitening – One of the most popular cosmetic dentistry solutions teeth whitening does precisely what you think. Whiter and brighter teeth are more attractive and look healthier. Stained teeth can hurt your image in the workplace and relationships. Teeth whitening can restore your teeth and your confidence. Ask about your options and different teeth whitening systems we provide.

Veneers – Manufactured from medical-grade ceramic, veneers are made individually to resemble natural teeth. They have a realistic look and can resolve problems with cracked, stained, or damaged tooth enamel. Veneers are applied to the front of each tooth using a dental adhesive. They’re an excellent solution for a lot of patients.

Cosmetic Bonding – The repair of decayed teeth using material that resembles the natural color of tooth enamel. Bonding is one of the least expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures and often times a great option for patients with decay, chipped, or cracked teeth. Cosmetic bonding can strengthen your teeth and improve their appearance.
